Lindsey Vonn, others to compete in 2010 Olympics.

With the Winter Games set to start in just three days in Vancouver, despite logistical difficulties regarding not having enough snow, it's never too soon to start brushing up on who's going to be competing. Take Lindsey Vonn, for instance, America's celebrated alpine skier and gold-medal favorite. In addition to winning back-to-back World Cup titles in '08 and '09, she is featured in the 2010 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition, out now.

The rest is pretty self-explanatory. We have to commend her more than anything for standing around in the snow in a bikini. Clearly she has what it takes to be a champion. Anyhow it'll be exciting to see the Games in Vancouver of all places, especially since we have one more glorious reason to pull for America.

Exotic Woman of the Day: Reby Sky.

New York's Reby Sky. Model, Giants fan. Awesome.

We happened to be at the Giants-Eagles game this past Sunday, and had the good fortune to see Reby Sky in person, perched in the first row not so far from our own seats, which were practically on the sideline exercise bikes. If you're not familiar with her work (and you should be) she is famous for being an extremely visible, extremely attractive Giants fan. According to her official site, in addition to modeling she's trained as a classical pianist and is interested in theater, music, dance. You know the drill. And so no matter how ugly the Giants' season gets, and it's getting ugly, there will always be one reason to love this game:

UPDATE: Dock Ellis and the LSD no-no heading to Sundance.

One of our very first posts highlighted a short film produced by New York's own fashion and media bonanza NoMas, which animated short film tells the story of the no-hitter pitched by Dock Ellis in 1970 while he was on LSD. LSD. It's a great piece, and it's been selected for the Sundance Film Festival in the U.S. Documentary Shorts section. It's really one of the better stories in baseball's long and hallowed history, especially in light of the fact that LSD has got to be one of the least-performance-enhancing drugs out there. Bravo.

Highlight of the night: falling with style.

Capping off the day with one last valley, the above is a pretty spectacular short video of a guy jumping from an eight-story building to the roof of another, smaller building. We haven't been able to find out who this is or why he did it, other than to prove to the world that he has balls of solid steel. Assuming it's real (we've been fooled before), pretty epic stuff.

Kiteboarding is the future.

From the BBC, two British kiteboarders wait three years for the perfect conditions (40 mph winds) to make history, however little it may have been noticed. If you have never seen a kiteboarder, you might consider making a trip to the ocean sometime soon for this purpose. Having witnessed it ourselves, we can say it is the closest any of us will likely come to human flight. Without, you know, a plane.
